Welcoming Week: Community Conversations

Join Red Deer Local Immigration Partnership for a Community Conversation on immigration during Welcoming Week (September 13 to 18, 2024)! Learn about immigration and how to improve connections between Red Deer locals and newcomers. Each Community Conversation’s focus is different ensuring we cover as many topics pertaining to Newcomers as possible.

September 17, 2024 — Lunch & Learn: Series 2 “Embracing Diverse Language: Bilingual Community Discussion on Immigration”  – Herve Njanjouo (La Francophonie Alberta Plurielle) –📍Intermediate School – Harmony Room — 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

September 17, 2024 — Family Movie Evening:  Migration  Movie Viewing & Discussion –📍Care for Newcomers – Maple Room — 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm

September 18, 2024 — Lunch & Learn: Series 3 “The Vulnerability of 2SLGBTQI+ Newcomers” – Darnel Forro (Red Deer Polytechnic) –📍Intermediate School – Harmony Room — 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
